Hurman Fortress
In the Marabuz District in Afşin, at the steep rocky north end of the banks of the Hurman Stream, stands the fortress of Hurman. There is no construction history, but it is thought to be a Byzantine structure. The ramparts are 10-15 meters high with eight bastions that have been reinforced. The castle gate faces west. There are water and food storerooms, military barracks and churches inside the fortress.
