İskender Bey (Acemli) Mosque
Built in the district of Şehit Evliya in 1668 from the Beyazıtoğluları Period by İskender Bey, the Iskender Bey Mosque was demolished and replaced by the present Acemli Mosque. Today's Acemli Mosque was built by Hacı İbrahim Evliya in 1912. It was the first domed mosque built in Maraş. The Iskender Bey Mosque Medrese is preserved and still in active use. The tomb of Martyr Evliya, who was killed in the Liberation of Maraş, is in the courtyard of the mosque.
