Bedesten

 The Bedestan was built in the period of Alaüddevle in the Dulkadirli District. North of the Grand Bazaar, the Bedestan covers a 23.00 x 23.00 m. square area. There are entrances to the building on all four sides. There are no official records of when the Bedestan was built or by whom. When we look at various sources it is believed to have been built between 1450 and 1500. Also the Bedesten was among the recipients of a charitable foundation began by Alaüddevle Bey.
