Bakırcılık (Coppersmith)

One of the oldest handicrafts in Kahramanmaras is that of coppersmith, which is a popular craft all over Turkey. Before the use of stainless steel and plastic, there was copper. In the past, copper was even used to make bathtubs. Today, all kinds of copper kitchenware, decorative items, farm and industrial equipment is still manufactured in Kahramanmaraş and sold domestically and abroad.
