Ali Mescidi (Bogazkesen Mosque)

Located between Kanlıdere and Akdere is the Ali Mescidi, it is also known by the local people as the "Boğazkesen Mosque". There are two inscriptions with different dates, one on the mosque minaret and the other in the mihrab. This mosque was built by Imam Sayyid Ali Efendi in 1727. The city’s head baker, Ali Aga, paid for renovations in 1799. The only remarkable feature of the mosque is the minaret. Only the Ali Mescidi, Hatuniye Mosque and Ulu Mosque have this same minaret feature.
